Jim Ellington BA hons PGCE

I am a teacher with a passion for enabling learning. My teaching styles are based around the concept of teaching learners how to learn and giving ownership of the learning journey to the learner.

All my lessons are underpinned by one single concept,

happy first, learning second

because we learn best when we are happy and comfortable. I use my lessons to ensure that leaners are happy, confident and learning at the pace that is right for them.

I have A levels in Biology, Chemistry and Physics, I speak French, have a degree in Drama and a teaching degree, specialising in science.

The majority of my students come to me for GCSE Maths, however I am not limited to maths and enjoy teaching a broad range of subjects.
